Terms of use
These terms apply whenever you browse, list a vehicle, or contact a seller on Drive Shift Cars.
What Drive Shift Cars is
Drive Shift Cars is a marketplace that connects vehicle buyers and sellers in Kenya. We are not a party to any sale. We do not take payment, hold funds, transfer ownership or act as an agent for either side.
Listings and accuracy
Listings are created by sellers. We review every listing before publication, but review is not the same as independent confirmation of every stated fact. Information marked as seller-supplied has not been verified by us. You are responsible for satisfying yourself about a vehicle before you pay anything.
Verification and inspection
A "Drive Shift Verified" badge records specific checks our team carried out on that vehicle, listed on the vehicle page. It is not a warranty, a guarantee of condition, or a valuation. Where an inspection report exists it describes the vehicle on the date of inspection only.
Listing fees
Listing a vehicle is currently free. We charge no listing fee, no subscription and no commission on sales. If this changes we will say so clearly and in advance; we will never charge for something you have already published on the current terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account. We may suspend an account that publishes misleading listings, misrepresents a vehicle, or abuses other users. A suspension reason is recorded.
Prohibited conduct
Do not list a vehicle you are not authorised to sell, use photographs that are not of the actual vehicle, misstate mileage or accident history, or use the platform to solicit payments outside a genuine vehicle sale.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from a transaction between a buyer and a seller, from reliance on seller-supplied information, or from a vehicle failing to meet your expectations. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
